As well as being a full time children`s writer, Caryl also runs creative workshops with local schools. I love plunge into the pirate pool, it is one of my favourite pirate books.

My favourite scene is when Albie is given a bag of chocolate coins because i think that Chocolate coins are a great idea for treasure.

My favourite character is Captain cuttlefish as he is very kind. I rate this book 5/5 it’s got brilliant illustrations and characters.
